GT Method Parenting skills 101

A most excellent three passer last night before bed. Had to be at my smooth best for meeting bub #4 for the first time today :D

Jeebus SYD - I've got #1 (and only) on the way in January and am already petrified. how on earth do you both manage?

PS sounds like ours will be just at the right age for cast offs.

You'll be fine mate. Kids are magic!

Sometimes dark, satanic magic but magic nonetheless

Thanks guys :) cue is back in the rack now though!!

Hey @SmallYetDeadly - congrats!

I'd be thinking that the cue needs to be more than just back in the rack, if it is still still in reach it can be deadly!

I'm looking for grandkids next - much to the horror of my 18 YO daughter who doesn't even have a boyfriend. I might have to rely upon my 16YO or even my 13 YO son to get a move on as she is more interested in travel than boys (should I be complaining?)

Seriously though - kids are great, if @Drubbing can do it @eggbert you will be fine!

The major downside of children @SmallYetDeadly is Mothers. Mothers are evil incarnate when it comes to their offspring. Their little darlings can do no wrong whatsoever and any problems that they have will inevitably be someone else's fault. When they get old enough to drive, and manage to hit a tree in broad daylight. on a sunny day, on a straight road, it will be the trees fault. Parent teacher visits are especially good at showing this. Watch a mothers eyes when she is told her offspring has any sort of fault whatsoever. (It will be vital when going to these things to ensure your partner is not carrying any dangerous implements with her - even a nail file can inflict a nasty wound on an unsuspecting teacher). As for you @Mark1966, I have 2 granddaughters and I can tell you the only thing worse than mothers is grandmothers.

Syd, cut the cue up - a few moments of pain will save you years of spending your days wondering why the hell you are to blame for ant indiscretion your sprog may have committed. Alternatively you can always try my suggestion for child raising. Put them in a 40 gallon drum with a bung hole at the top and another at the bottom - feed them through the top and hose them out through the bottom. After 20 years open up the drum - if you like what you see, let tem out - otherwise dump the drum in a large body of water.

Don't say you haven't been warned.

@gthomas04 - there are laws against people like you aren't there?

You think parent/teacher nights are bad, just imagine what the situation is like by the time the matter is escalated to the level of my wife, the Principal, and suspension and expulsion is on the line ...
