Just got a quote for a custom shave handle. Price is great... Then he gives me the shipping; $60USD!!!!

You have got to be freaking kidding me. For a shave brush handle!!
 
Yeah, developed countries are supposedly trying to create a singular global economy, I reiterate, not bloody likely with postage costs like this!
It is why China has boomed, their postage is sooo cheap!
 
I've asked if he is willing to use a cheaper alternative. Failing that I have a freight forwarding account I can use.

It's a sweet handle, but the freight has literally doubled the cost!

What if we like it and desire to subsidise postage by buying as a group?
 
Anything I buy from US in a bulk order I always used Shipito easy bloody peasy because you get a better and cheaper shipping cost ;)
 
For some reason I thought you were talking about razor handles.

In any event Bob makes some really nice stuff.
