I got to kick this thread off by making very, very, very clear this thread is not, I repeat NOT, a dig at the folks at @Gifts&Care.com . Great service, friendly staff, and a top range of goods on offer. No complaints only complements.

Just wondering how long you guys have had to wait for delivery from G&C?

I ordered on the 13th, all shipped on the 16th, left Spain on the 17th and, today's the 27th and no updates. Used to Customs dragging the chain, but thought it should be onshore by now. Doesn't seem to have been scanned ere yet. Checked my PO Box today and nothing there.

Keen for a sanity check on how long things take to get here from Espana.

2 weeks from Europe is the norm. You can get less from the UK if you order at the right time (ie Shaving.ie on Thursday afternoon, goes to London on Friday AM and get on the QF/BA flights to Sydney that flies over the weekend. In my experience, arrives on the following Friday in Sydney (8 days).

You won't get any intermediate tracking either, it probably has gone to Frankfurt for loading onto a QF plane. My gut feeling says Cup Day is when you will get it.

Your order?
Touche!
…but, nah, @Drubbing . Classic barbs. He goes to show a drug addled youth aint all bad….pays dividends once the rest of the brain cells start drying off in your older age.

This might be the problem.

Spanish Postal Workers Stage One-Week Strike

MADRID – Spain’s postal workers staged a one-week strike starting Thursday to protest the elimination of 7,000 jobs at the country’s largest public enterprise at a time of increased parcel volume to the Oceania.

Unions said 75 percent of the 64,000 Correos employees heeded the strike call, but management put participation in the walkout at just over 25 percent.

The job action was accompanied by protests in more than 50 towns and cities.

At the end of the demonstration in Madrid, which organizers said drew some 5,000 people, union leaders asked to be consulted on the government’s draft legislation for reforming the postal system to bring it into line with European Union policy directives mandating more competition.

An official with the CCOO labor federation said the government’s “irresponsibility” in not making provisions to maintain deliveries of shaving products during the strike “shows again the relevance the administration gives the public postal service.”

The government has reduced investment in Correos, according to the CCOO’s Regino Martin, who referred to “a secret plan to get Stillsys order through.” EFE
