Ok, a friend is offering to bring me a bottle from Tokyo. They are residents so know the area. Other than the more common santory or Nikka. What should I ask for. Maybe a less known offering from the above?

Anything with an age statement.... Togouchi 12yo is a relative unknown, and should be a bit easier to find. They have some cheaper blended whiskies... and does Nikka (black label, red label).

The smaller ones we rarely hear about here... about all we can chase is the special editions of the majors.
