Tried the technique in the merkur man video using proraso red with the whipped dog synthetic. Not super shiny, but getting better.

I tried doing a flash shot, unfortunately my phone's flash is not quite up to notch. I like how @Osman does his shots with a flash. Intensifies the gloss.
