The Yaqi brush has a real bad smell to it. I read that if you leave some lather on it over night it will get rid of any factory smell.

That is odd for a synthetic brush. Have five Yaqi brushes and yes some had a very minor chemical/glue smell but that was quite faint. How was it after a good wash and soap?

The smell was the same from the box. TBH though I did not give it that good of a wash. But I soaked it for a solid few hours in soapy water. I'll see how it turns out in the morning after letting the lather sit
