Hi Rick, and welcome.
I find the 34C to be very (too) mild. The R41 2011 is my preferred modern. I just acquired a New Improved English Big Fellow that is my current favourite vintage DE.

Hey George. As it so happens I've got a 2013 version of the R41 enroute. Should arrive in my mailbox tomorrow.
 
Yep, mild blade it's going to be. The above mentioned are very good choices...very tempted with an Astra. I'll report back on Monday through SOTD.
 
Gillette 7 O'Clock Black or a Voskhod would also be good in it. Or even a Gillette White Plat.

Got some Voskhod's enroute as a matter of fact. A lot of hype on these. Think I have a few Gillette Blacks in my blade box. Thanks for the tips.
