I don’t have any issues with the smell of brass, as long as you give the Karve a complete clean using warm soapy water and then another complete clean using toothpaste with a toothbrush before you place a new blade. The downside is that I can smell the brass. Not a deal breaker for me, but the sooner Chris releases a stainless version the better. Till then, I suppose I’ll not breath when I’m shaving under my nose.
Nice advice @SpeedyPC . Just tried it on the brass General and it worked well. I don't think I noticed the brass smell so much until I had polished the General with Brasso then it was more annoying. I always do this before placing a new blade, the owner who makes the Karve said to used toothpaste when using a fully brass razor.
Toothpaste idea looks like a winner. Would never of thought that would work. Nice work @SpeedyPC for the share.About a week of using the karve with c-plate, immediately I could see that I’m getting consistently better results. The razor holds the blade ever so firmly. There isn’t much blade feel, but I find the razor with c-plate much more efficient than the Muhle r89.

Damn you @SpeedyPC now you have me wanting one of these Karves!!!
I want to know when the steel coming in?Don't forget AMA for Chris about the Karve today on Reddit if you want to ask a question publicly.

Both wonderful razors. Karve #B = GC #.68 - Karve # C = GC #.84. You won’t go wrong with either but the Karve will give you a lot more options.
thanks.. can i ask why you feel it will give more options? i thought it would of been the other way around with the game changer being adjustable
