Tend to agree with Mark1966 razor/blade idea. But I also feel that the soap that's used is important. A 'may be' Lather will negate a good razor/blade combo.

Although there are many that experience this, I've yet to notice much difference between different blades in different razors. Hell, I can't even notice much difference between different blades in one razor! Which is one reason I like SE shaving. None of this endless trying out of different blades looking for the holy grail. I can see the attraction as there so many to choose from and they're all priced pretty similarly.

Doesn't matter what blade you use if your lather's bad. Might as well try a Crocodile Dundee.
