Hi there,

I have been Wetshaving for some time now and this time I am looking for a keeper!
I need a mild razor but because my slow growing ginger beard is curly and coarse it must also be efficient.
My favorite razor sofar was the Paradigm Diamondback, which I've regretfully sold but that one was too aggressive for my problem areas like my neck and such.

Between these, which one is the most mild and smooth?

Tatara Masamune (new)
Aylsworth Apex (second hand)
Lambda Ares V2 (second hand)
Yates Winning Ti (second hand

So under 200 bucks.

Thank you

If you can get a new Masanune for less than $200 you're doing well. Tatara lists it at EUR 174, which right now is $279.

I live in the Netherlands so for 175 I can get a Tatara Masamune/Nodaichi.
Is that your advice?
I can't say. All of the above have been well received by those who've tried them. Maybe the best option might be to decide which of those is prettiest, and go for that. You could always sell it again if you decide it's not for you. You could ask our ace razor reviewer @Errol what he thinks, and start from there.

If your after a mild razor stay away from the Lambda Ares and the Apex. As for the Winning, I have a Ti and keep pushing a review on it out because I dislike the training wheel design which dictates your shave angle. Go for the Tatara, it should suit your requirement.
