Thanks for the tips, @Mark1966 . After lots of research I think I have a 1936 silver-plated Aristocrat which is pretty rare (predates the gold and rhodium numbered sets). Even better is the case indicates it was a thankyou gift from a famous Calcutta restaurant which adds a great layer of history. The razor came up a treat and the blade bank revealed a man who liked PermaSharps.
