Hi Folks, sorry to post 'off topic' after a long absence but here goes.
Some time ago I was made aware of some absolutely beautiful Japanese tea cups which were heated to around 1000C then had flowers dropped into them which formed amazing patterns and colours. For the life of me, I can't remember what they are called now! However I had a vague memeory that it was someone here that mentioned them. Google/AI searches found this page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raku_ware which seems to describe the process accurately but the product doesn't match the sheer beauty of the ones I recall, nor does the name Raku ring a bell. Does anyone know what I am talking about?
