BB isn't my birth year, would be looking for an '82 (C4 to be precise) but the BBs of that era used a lot more plastic, especially the bottom plate of the head. They're also a lot harder to come by as DE production had slowed down substantially by then.
Yep, the R89 is gorgeous :)
