12 shaves on an Astra!? Yikes!

Hahaha. I'm now wondering if there could be something I'm doing that impacts the blade life. I disassemble the head, rinse under running water and let the parts (including blade) air dry, spread out before my next use.

Thanks for the info @Monsta_AU . I did shave with month old cartridge razors not so long ago, so either my facial hair is on the softer side, or I need to gain more experience with blades.

More likely the relative coarseness of facial hair I would suggest.
