Mr. Strop
Again, thanks to the benevolence of @LesC, I have another much sort after Gold Dollar 66 straight razor up for grabs. This razor is in almost as-new condition. It was received from @LesC with light surface oxidation on the reverse face, spine and bevel both sides. The blade's unnecessary stabiliser has been removed. I was able to clean up the oxidation without damaging any of the exquisitely painted Gold Dollar decal on the blade's face. The edge was then bread-knifed back to sound steel and put through a complete honing progression up to a 10k unknown Japanese synthetic whetstone. The blade's edge has not yet been finished. The winner of this PIF can choose the edge finish that he desires and I will perform same before dispatch. The options are-
To shave with this razor all you need is a shaving brush, shaving soap, clean leather strop (or a couple of sheets of newspaper) and my SR shaving instructions.

Condition:
This straight razor is in almost as-new condition. It has been used just a couple of times. The finish quality is up to manufacturer's normal standard, which is not that high. As the scales are of ABS, care needs to be taken when closing the razor so that the blade's edge does not interfere with the scales.
Note: This straight razor is suitable for a beginner into the gentlemanly art or a more experienced SR shaver who wants to experience one of my edges.
Honing:
Prior to dispatch, the razor will be finished on a medium of the winner's choosing (see above) to my standard of shave-ready.
Rules:
1. This PIF is open to P&C members worldwide, even if you have been a lucky recipient of one of my other PIFs.
2. You must have been a member of P&C on 08 April 2025.
3. The winner is to pay postage within 72 hours of winning (see postage rates below).
4. This PIF remains open until won.
How to enter:
This PIF requires some skilful guessing. I have thought of a number between 1 and 20 inclusive. You need to guess that number (a whole number and it is not 1, 3, 5, 8, 10, 11, 13, 14, 18 or 20 that won previous PIFs). You are allowed multiple guesses however each of your guesses must be at least 24 hours apart. To win this PIF, just post "I'm in" with your guess of the number. [e.g., I'm in 14]. First to guess the correct number will win.
If you find that this SR is not for you, all I ask is that you return the razor to me. I will then refresh the blade's edge and PIF it to another member.
