Shave of the day 2013

Featherweight w/ GEM Stainless PTFE
Simmo Duke 2
TOBS Jermyn Street
TOBS Eton College A/S

Posh shave this morning, felt very slick going with the TOBS combo. Gotta give it to the English soap folks, they make some very pleasant scents. It's hard to fall off the SE bandwagon at the moment. I keep getting smooth and comfortable shaves, and shed-loads of life from each blade.

Progress on 4
Gillette malteser
Tobs sandalwood
Semogue boar
Floid AS
A lovely Sunday shave before going out to sell a house.
This is the last of my tobs sandal wood. The scent seems to have returned in its dregs as I got closer to the bottom of the tub.

Need an extra brush or thee. Simmo is three days to dry hahaha!

Low density schemoque dry after 10 minutes!

PS thanks Juggy you bastard!

You actually NEED a full seven day set - I can probably help you with some of those

And of course anyone looking for the Ark of the Covenant, or perhaps the lost tribes of Israel - Mark will be able to help you as well :)

Now, now GT really - that is getting a little silly :)

I do have a couple of nice bridges available though ....

I have been considering some tobs stuff. Must try to sniff them somewhere and see what's what.

I worry about that Jermyn cream taking over my Czech and Speake soap bowl and then it's curtains shortly after for all the Polish super iridiums!

(Can I get a boom boom? )

PM inbound on that bridge Mark. The Mrs is always telling me to build one and get over it!

Still the only one shaving...

Palmy Gut 2,2 - forgot how nice this was.
Semogue 830
Merkur 34C
Schlicky
Alum
M&S ASB

Two passes. Easy Peasy! No houses sold though :(

Sold another one today.

No shave tho.

Must have been a rough crowd you were selling to.

Anyhow, coupla shaves.

Another one of my obscure brushes
Tabac cream
Shick (4) in the trusted bakelite
Featherweight with new GEM SS
Gonna crank out the Ever Ready Streamline for the remainder of this blade

Ingram's Menthol Cream
Simpson's 10 in Best Badger
Rocket HD
Gillette Spoiler (4-5IIRC)
Alum
L'Oreal ASB

The ingrams is really quite good stuff, love the menthol blast. Getting my head around the simmo, very nice lather today. Spoiler is really quite nice with a few shaves under it's belt.

Still no houses sold.

Just a standard shave, currently:

  • NOS GBE (5th?)
  • Pureman Open Comb Prototype
  • 'Da Fat, facelathered
  • Vie-Long Horsey (13710 or something....)

Single pass quick cleanup this morning as I was running late. Blade felt past it's useby date. Certainly not smooth anymore, and almost like the edge was 'chewed'.

New blade on Saturday.

My first shave back on the Proraso Green soap.

It lathers like a demon which is great, and in the summer heat the menthol is welcome.

Gillette Malteser fourth shave
R41
Semogue boar
Proraso Green Original soap

I can still get a reasonable shave despite this being on its fourth shave. I will go another day and see how it holds up.

Be careful mate.

That was pretty close to the 'G' word and you know what Drubs does when somebody uses that around here ...

Just cos I go on holidays doesn't mean you can lower the tone. THat said, reading from hereon, you don't need me around for that.

I spent the last week with the 30c + 1 PSS, the ol 05 Omega and a tiny tub of Cella. Singapore water must be a bit harsh as I didn't get the smoothest shaves. Great finish as ever with this lot, just harder work to get it.

Might be an overabundance of tiger beers that caused the harshness?

Went very light on the piss to be honest, not out of choice, f'sure. Had happy 2 hours at the hotel the last few nights - free cocktails, wine and beer and top shelf canapés (if you can call Lamb Tikka and beer battered king prawns, 'canapés'). Me and the mrs called them dinner.

Then had to find something for the kids to eat... Very little booze time.
