Revisited a St Petersburg Gillette Platinum blade recently, and was pleasantly surprised.
Hence, pulled out a fresh Silver Blue from the back of the drawer for a similar outing.
No dice - it remains a sworn enemy.

Interesting how different blades work with different faces. I never got around to trying the GSB, but many folks swear by it.
