Our Northern Warrior returns! Good to see you back. After a few months' hiatus while growing the beard, I wanted the first week back to be smooth and irritation-free. I settled on the Proraso sensitive and a razor I know to be light and efficient with minimal blade feel. While many razors in the den could meet that criteria, the Tatara was the tool of choice.

Thanks Tom. It's an effect I try not to over use.Woah! Nice photographic effects (or I've inadvertently dropped some acid).
I like it, Mate! (the photographic effect, that it). Thanks Tom. It's an effect I try not to over use.
From what I've read, few people are.It was a DFS. -- not great and not terrible. I'm not crazy about the Feather blade.
Hi mate, yeah I’ve tried the feather blade in them as well not to impress myself. It works better with the original blade but it’s very easy to cut the strop and they’re getting a bit hard to get.It was a DFS. -- not great and not terrible. I'm not crazy about the Feather blade.
Indeed, though that blood might be running a little thinner now. Yesterday, a 40mm hole appeared in the bottom of my current puck.Lovely soap. You and @Gargravarr are blood brothers.![]()
You're dating yourself there, Tom; these days, people are interested in much less interesting pharmaceuticals...Woah! Nice photographic effects (or I've inadvertently dropped some acid).
I don't think they work in Gem razors, and they dull quickly after first use. From what I've read, few people are.If they fit that razor, would they fit a modern GEM? Not that I NEED to experiment, but in the interest of science...
Thanks for that - a few people have mentioned their lack of longevity, but the clarification re. fit is welcome. On the whole, I haven't had a great run with any Feather blade. The best I've found is the AC Pro Super (depending on the razor), but the others, especially the flimsy DE blades leave me unimpressed.I don't think they work in Gem razors, and they dull quickly after first use.
