I tried the hot flannel and pears soap this morning and it worked a treat. I can’t tell if the shave was physically better or if the soap and flannel just got me focused on the task at hand, but thank you for the recommendation either way

The prewash routine is a nice addition to my shave, and I love the smell of the original Pears. I bought this Palmolive on a whim in the store the other day, and I’m quite happy with it. Very easy to use and a nice slippery lather.

Razor; Atelier Durdan, La Faulx ‘’The Scythe’’ AC razor with ++ plate. L.E 3/20 “Criniere Ardente” Fiery Mane.
Blade; Kai, Captain Titan Mild PINK.
Post-shave; My Concoction; Wahl Traditional Bay Rum 500mls, Witch Hazel 500mls, Moroccan Argan Oil 100mls, Bay Laurel Essential Oil 25mls, Vit E 5mls, Natural Plant Glycerine 2.5mls and 1.25mls of Tea Tree Oil Antiseptic (Thoroughly mixed together) aftershave/moisturiser splash!! ‘’Superb’’

Shave; Another very pleasant shave with the La Faulx, after 6-7 shaves I confirm I find smoother and more efficient than my S/S version. The Manchurian wiped up a nice ‘’face’’ lather from the vintage Yardley and nicely finished with My Concoction.
