I sometimes get push-back from Mme about the number of soaps in my bathroom cabinet (not that that's so many now), but I reckon I could get away with any number of them if they had cairn terriers on the label.Shaving soap: MacDuff's - Aspen Parkland

I'm beginning to think of 5 or so years ago as the best years of Blackland. This Sabre does get neglected, to be sure, but it's a fine razor.

The V1 Sabre is probably my favorite Gem razor.
Pre-shave: Hot flannel, Pears soap
Brush: TroyCraft "Nebulish" silvertip (with matching razor stand)

Yeah, although mine gets put away for extended periods, it always delivers a perfect, irritation-free GBS without fail. I think the only reason why it gets left behind the Vestige here is because of its weight.
