Had to go with Will for tallow Sat as well.

B&M Lavanille
Rockwell 6s #2
Feather (1)
RR Monster Synth
Myrsol Blue and Thayers to finish

Almost a week on setting 2 with the Rockwell and just as impressive today with a feather. Will move to the #3 head on Monday for a week to see how that rolls. Aiming for a week on each before a review.

The Lavanille is just awesome. It's my go to soap when I want a special shave

Ready for two kids parties back to back /sigh

Holy cow!o_O
I'm not sure I can handle another 4 weeks until we hear about the Rockwell...
Really wish I had a larger bank account...

Put it this way. After flirting with 3&4 for a day, and a week fling with 2, I don't think anyone would be disappointed if they purchased. :)

Pre-Shave: Occams pre-shave soap, cold water
Razor: ATT S1 with Kronos (kindly loaned by @Dragon Noir)
Blade: Ladas (2)
Brush: Rudy Vey Shavemac
Lather: Bald As Tallow Lemon Myrtle (kindly made by @bald as)
Post-shave: Alum, Barrister & Man Kyovu Original, South Australian Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Tallow (or Suet as @MrT prefers) Saturday

This one is for @Lifes a Peach and @Draco Noir for kicking off the whole themed shave thing - what a fantastic idea! And for @bald as - glad you are alive and kicking and making such fantastic soaps!

Lather shots are posted here - enjoyed today's shave so much - and very happy to see all those animal fat drippings around :ROFLMAO:

Here we are. Not Tallow Tuesday, not Fat Friday, but Tallow Saturday. Go figure!

I really agonised over this one actually. I really wanted to go with Absolution. It really is tops but in the end I had to give it to my all time favourite soap. There really isn't much between them but I love the clean soapy powdery scent of MWF and with the post shave feel takes it into the lead. It looses points on lather ability. Sorry Anthony. You have a brilliant soap but it's hard to compete with a formula that has been working since 1893!

Since I am about to head off to mow the lawn I needed some zing so I had to finish it all off with a smothering of Arctic Mango Balm - Shaver Heavens wonder drug for the face.

@Sxot make sure you try the Haslinger Sheeps Milk & Lanolin (very similar to MWF) and you'll love both trust me, please don't feel bad @Anthony I still do love you're shaving soap and I know you said to me you also love MWF too ;)

Following menthol Thursday, today we had menthol Saturday.
I think Sunday nights shave might also have a menthol component or two to it.
Just let me know when the official menthol day is so I can use something else for a change.

Razor: Gillette F4 Fatboy (5)
Blade: Wilkinson Sword 'Light Brigade' (21)
Brush: Vintage butterscotch Simpson AS2
Soap/Cream: Mike's Natural Shaving Soap - Barbershop
Aftershave: Captain's Choice Cat 'o' Nine Tails

Hmmm, I think that this should suffice for Tallow Saturday ...

Been a long day since the shave this morning. Wife dropped off at a leadership retreat for the weekend and eldest daughter successfully moved my eldest daughter into a shared house in Sydney.

But the memory remains of a great shave, number 21 with this amazing blade (thanks again @borked) and a great lather even if I didn't get to take any pics thanks to improved technique inspired by @alfredus and his passion for lather, @Osman's photos and others teaching this old dog new tricks.

If you are going to have a Tallow Day of course you need to use a man's razor like the Fatboy huh @FatBoy58 ?

What better way for a man to finish a shave than that Cat 'o' Nine Tails - courtesy of a bargain sale by @stillshunter some time ago.

Gee whiz - it was a very crowded bathroom metaphorically this morning! Thanks guys!

(Almost forgot the pic!)

Preshave: Top Seven emulsion
Razor: Standard
Blade: Personna Med Prep
Brush: Shavemac 177
Soap: Saponificio Varesino Manna di Sicilia
Post Shave: Loccitane bavx balm and Fine Platinum
Three pass shave. The Standard is a nice, efficient razor that had done the job after two passes but I was enjoying myself so much, and had a fair bit of lather left, that I did a third pass. Lovely result and great way to start a Sunday.

Razor: EJ DE89
Blade: Astra (2)
Brush: The Body Shop Synth
Soap: Shaver Heaven Peppermint Plus
After: Alum, TN Dickinsons Witch hazel, Nivea Sensitive Balm

3 pass shave WTG, XTG, XTG.
Went well, not sure I'm a huge fan of the Body Shop synth, but thought I should give the Simpson a day off.
Will definitely look to get another brush to rotate with the Simpson in the near future.

Razor: Gillette F4 Fatboy (5)
Blade: Wilkinson Sword 'Light Brigade' (22)
Brush: Vintage butterscotch Simpson 46 reknotted in Pure
Soap/Cream: Jabonman Mountain
Aftershave: Myrsol - Formula K

After the favourable comments about the 'butterscotch soldiers' they insisted in being included in the photo this morning.

That Fatboy again and the Light Brigade on number 22 [snore].

With Tallow Saturday bookmarked by vegan soaps I'm tempted to tentatively suggest that maybe, possibly, arguably, in some cases, the inclusion of tallow makes for a superior lather, sort of, IMHO ...

[runs and hides]

Still a great lather from the Jabonman though and the LPL but the Mikes just had *something* - although it could be down to user error.
