I am a lazy shaver. Oh the joys of a great Boar brush.
A badger is too much work every shave.
Maybe on the weekend when I need to beat myself up a bit :)
I got caught by daylight savings today and forgot I'm going out for a meal tonight so just a single pass shave but it is DFS without any issues. Gotta love a straight.
@alfredus passed on some pretty nice splashes etc from @todras last weekend so to make myself even more "a finely presented bloke" I used some of the Coconut/Sandalwood splash. I love both of those scents and together you have done an exceptional job. That combination would be great in a soap. My son was also impressed. Top marks.

Razor: Herder 77 6/8"
Post: Myrsol F/Extra

The 6th shave with the Herder and I think I can sense some tugging, although that could also be because I struggle to get a truly slick lather from MWF. The shave actually ended up being one of the closest I've had in a while so may hold off on the CrOX. The F/Extra is probably my least favourite Myrsol. I just can't get a sense of the scent, it's so nothing. Still, it does the job and is good for an evening shave.

I was waiting all week for this shave, I am of course referring to the chance to use the new Derby's in the Fatboy which proved to be a worthwhile exercise. Quite a decent shave but I feel they work better in the slim for whatever reasons, either that or my pre shave prep was found wanting. Usual 2 passes, plenty of cold water to clean the face then on to the tea-bagging.

I had designs on making a splash and balm for this soap for a long while, I tried to obtain one from the existing market but to no avail (the earl grey and ginger from one outfit was not even close) so after a lot of tinkering I came up with 'Tea Bag' or sachet de thé for the continental among us. I am very pleased with this one, it pairs with the soap almost identically and shares the same beautiful notes of sage and bergamot. It's not a scent for everyone, some people don't like the scent of Cheshire however I do, I love the scent and what Will achieved with this soap. I'm bloody stoked with this, next to White Tea and Ginger this was the reason my project kicked off to begin with - the search for a paired aftershave and balm is over!

My straights are off getting honed, so DE-only shave today. :cry:

I whipped up a generous lather with the Spitfire and finished off with some APR Un côtelette de porc Splash and Balm again. :)

The last 2 days I have tried doing a pre-shave the way some barbers do, apply some lather then do the hot towel on top. I will keep experimenting, but it does seem to do the job. The first pass does seem to offer significantly less resistance. Should help when I get back on to the straight razor learning curve.

Well done on the "Tea Bag" scent and balm @todras and thanks for turning me on to B&M Cheshire.
Such a great scent, it's top of my list for my next TSW order.

Thanks mate, it's a bloody cracker of a scent (the Cheshire) and one I really like. I am really happy in being able to create something that does it justice!

Heavenly shave with 3 days growth - the lather was outstanding (picture here) - and everything was just perfect, including the plumb and happy post-shave face - hope you all have a great weekend (y)

My brother got me a Stirling Bay Rum which does match very nicely with WAHL Bay Rum Aftershave and I'm really enjoying the Stirling shaving soap product, I don't want to get too many soap otherwise I won't keep up with all my other soaps I've already have.

Summer seems to have hit Geelong this week so a nice lime scented shave seemed in order. Usual excellent lather from the P&B soap topped off with great scent of TOBS Victorian Limes.

Really quick 2 pass shave this afternoon. XTG X 2. Minor irritation, which the After Balm sorted out no problems.
