Pretty easy shave to end the working week. The Rex demands the lightest touch and for me, a low setting of under 2 for a daily shave. Maybe even lower.

The other main thing I realised today, is that the Caties Bubbles has the measure of the D.R Harris soap in terms of slickness by some margin. One of the main reasons I was reluctant to use the Rex for some time was the shaves I was getting but can be put down to lather now.

Well, that was a close shave. This blade is sharp but also rather harsh and hasn't really got better on the second use. Looking at the blade in the R2 plate, it gives a small blade gap but the blade exposure from the top cap appears excessive and I suspect this is the problem. When I get access back to my den I will give this blade a run in some of my mild razors as it might be perfect for them - the ones where no other blade I have tried could cut anything. I might also try a few different plates in the Rockwell to try and get the blade exposure down.
