I’ve seen it a few times in the US but not cheap over there.

If you got it for $40 that was a bargain!
Delivered makes it even better.

Sometimes you get lucky. I made an offer and then forgot about it for a month. No one was interested and then I made the same offer again and it was accepted. eBay is funny like that. There has been plenty I’ve missed out on but on the whole I can’t complain. My most unusual and lucky buy beside this is my shaving mirror which was from the Queen Mary. Another $40 buy and a 4 hour return trip to pick it up.

Brush: Proraso (Omega) boar
Razor: Karve Brass SB (D plate) + WCS Brass handle
Blade: Perma Sharp (6)
Soap: PB Grapefruit sample
Bowl: PAA Travel Scuttle
Pre: Shower
Post: Mr Royal cologne // Stirling Soap Co. Unscented balm

A very enjoyable SOTD last Friday. The Karve shaved super close as evident by the few nicks I got on the chin & Adams apple with the blade starting to tug on the last few passes. I absolutely love using @Pbgoose soap samples as they always lather up a treat and the scents are quite pleasant, as with Grapefruit. Finished off with the trusty balm and a hand me down cologne which smells nice... Happy shaves!

Wasn't the menthol too cold for a winter shave!? Or is it mild enough it's not a problem? Or are you just one tough mudda? In any case, glad you've been enjoying them.:)

Razor/Blade:- Gillette Fatboy (7 & 5) G2 1961 / Gillette Stainless (red & white) #6
Post/After-shave:- T.N. Dickinson Witch Hazel Astringent mixed into the 240ml bottle with Natural Glycerin (20 drops) & Tea Tree Antiseptic (10) / The Stray Whisker Aftershave Balm (Australian made)

In all honesty mate I didn't really notice the menthol but then again us Da Menth Heads love their shaves extra cool! :cool: Can't wait for you to make the next Meet Up as I'm running a bit low on samples. :LOL:
