Pre-shave: Hot water
Brush: Forgotten Art "Tarkine" 26mm Tuxedo
Soap/Cream: Noble Otter Two Kings
Razor: Blackland Vector
Blade: No-name (Tyrael?) Chinese AC blade from Yaqi Shaving
Post-shave: Shower, TND Witch Hazel, Nivea Balm

This wet, dreary weather made me reach for the 2K today. Can't get enough of that scent, I love it. These cheapie blades are surprisingly not-shit. Not the smoothest or sharpest that money can buy, but by far the cheapest ($38.25/100 from Yaqi, probably cheaper from Aliexpress if you can get it to work) and easily get me to a great BBS, even if it doesn't feel like it until 30 minutes after I'm all rinsed and dried. The fierce Tasmanian sun has been taking its toll lately, so needing a lot of post-shave care at the moment...

Razor: Rockwell 6S (R6)
Blade: Wizamet (10)
Brush: WCS 24mm psychedelic badger
Soap: Wholly Kaw Fougére Mania
Post-shave: Lucky Tiger + The Stray Whisker After Balm
Fragrance: Armaf—club de nuit intense man

So the problem with getting a reliably fantastic shave every day is that you start to get itchy feet. I always thought I’d search until I found my ideal shaving gear configuration then settle on that. Funny how it is great, but also oddly dissatisfying when you have discovered that perfect combo.

It’s almost worth experiencing a sub-par shave every now and again purely to emphasise how great your daily shaves are!

Wizamet still going strong. WK Siero base is fantastic, but a relatively hard puck. Definitely need to load up for a bit longer than Kaizen base for example. 30-40 secs minimum for Siero.

That's a beautiful brush @Gargravarr.

Brush: Yaqi 30mm Tuxedo
Razor: Smart Helix Apollo H 050mm Mild plate
Blade: Personna Lab Blue (2)
Pre: Shower
Soap: Squadron Soaps Sweetheart
Post: Alum block // The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 30 ml // Squadron Soaps Sweetheart A/S splash
WTG, ATG, Touchups = Bloody BBS

Second shave with the Personna blade and although not as intimidating I still managed to nick myself in the same spots but well worth it as the shave was super close! Managed to get a BBS in 2 easy passes with minor touch up with next shave with a Rocca but that'll be Christmas Eve...
Stay Safe & Happy Shaves (Holidays)!

Pre-shave: Hot water
Brush: Forgotten Art "Southern Skies" 30mm Snow Leopard
Soap/Cream: Noble Otter Two Kings
Razor: Mühle R95 birch-bark Rocca
Blade: Polsilver (2)
Post-shave: Shower, TND Witch Hazel, Nivea Balm

Nothing like a warm, sunny morning after a day of drenching rain, with kookaburras and their babies making a racket all around the house while I shave.

Gillette Superspeed Blue Tip 1959
Gillette Super Stainless 1969 @4
Vie-Longue Horse
Proraso Eucalyptus Soap
Old Spice Knockoff from Family Dollar (Apparently, they discontinued the stuff. Bugger! Fortunately, I still have 3 full 7oz of the stuff.)

Another great shave with the Blue Tip, I'm thinking about snagging a second one next time I see a crusty copy up for sale.

Pre-shave: Hot Shower
Brush: TF Customs - custom 24mm 2 band finest
Soap/Cream: Murphy & McNeal - These Truths
Razor: Muhle - Rocca R94
Blade: Gillette Stainless (33)
Post-shave: Murphy & McNeal - These Truths AS splash / Nivea Men - Deep moisturiser

3 pass WTG, XTG ATG = BBS. Happy Blade retirement day. 33 Smooth and efficient shaves. No nicks, weepers, or irritation in that time. This blade will be marked 33 and put away. This blade has performed above and beyond the call of shaving duty. Gillette Stainless and R94 are at the top of my shaving razor and blade combo. Nothing else comes even remotely close. Goes to show you, you don't need a fancy razor to get a great shave.

The Soap, These Truths, is 1/25 sets ever produced. Special release for a charity event fund raiser. Soap scent is light to medium off the puck, and medium for the splash. Scent profile rosewood, sandalwood, peppercorn, patchouli, and vetiver. A very nice smokey, woodsy, dark, masculine scent, which is an homage to Tom Ford "Oud Wood." I think Murphy & McNeal later on introduced this scent into their regular soap/splash line up as Magh Tured. (y)

Pre: Water
Brush: Maggards "Granite" 26mm Plisson
Soap: Zingari Man - Nomad
Razor: Rockwell 6S (R6)
Blade: Gillette 7 O'Clock Yellow
Post: Nivea balm

First Zingari soap. First bay rum, although, like most of the reviewers for this soap, it's more lime than rum. It's kind of like lime quencher with a hint of spice. Sego base is very good, lathers on easily and is almost lotion-y in texture. You know it's a good soap when you do your normal 2 pass DFS weekday shave and then keep on going for another pass BBS to prolong the shave. Didn't leave much to shave the next day (this is from yesterday). In terms of soap base, I'd rank this just after Milksteak and Soft Heart. Top 5 for sure.

Going to be a hard choice for the Christmas Day shave!

Pre-shave: Hot water
Brush: Forgotten Art "Southern Skies" 30mm Snow Leopard
Soap/Cream: Castle Forbes Lavender
Razor: Mühle R95 birch-bark Rocca
Blade: Polsilver (3)
Post-shave: Shower, TND Witch Hazel, Nivea Balm, La Roche-Posay SPF50+ sunblock, Stirling Bergamot Lavender EDT

Last shave with this blade, DFS+. I still love this soap, and don't know what possessed me to put it up on the BST a while back. Glad nobody took it. I'm going to attempt to add sunblock to the routine 365 days a year from now on. I've already had a few brushes with skin cancers, but what really bothers me is that sharp sting of the Tassie sun, it really hurts.
