Razor: 6S (#6)
Blade: Gillette 7OC Yellow (2)
Brush: Kent 24mm pure badger
Soap: Salt Lake Soaps - Mentholated
Post: TND & Nivea 2-phase
Soundtrack: Spotify on my nice new Google Nest Hub Max
Fragrance: Trufitt & Hill Sandlewood

Pretty decent holiday shave. Got a little sunburned yesterday, so wanted a fresh menthol hit which worked well.

No complaints with the 7OC yellow at this stage. Also find that the oily phase of the 2-phase obviates the need for a post shave balm. A balm over the top would likely tip my skin too far toward the greasy/oily end of the spectrum. Bit of an art form getting the perfect moisture balance to avoid breakouts and chalky dryness. The 2-phase works well for me provided I use it alone.

Practicing for retirement with a str8 shave every 2 to 3 days while on hols
Note the splay on the Rooney, she is 22 mm on a beautiful butterscotch handle but not dense enough for face lathering, may be OK for creams and croaps
Mike's natural has a beautiful barbershop scent (and no tallow burn), appeared to be a very hard soap but may have also been because first use and the extra soft brush. Will stay on it until I dial it in or give up.

Mikes from the tin is up there with the best performers so don't be put off by the hardness factor. I have the newer formula which is softer but always enjoy the hard puck as it works/smells nice.
Load a semi wet brush than continue to work at it by gradually adding extra drops and before you know it you'll have plenty of creamy lather! (y)

Second TI in a row, heading for a hat trick tomorrow with my fully restored Christmas presi

Brush: Alpha Shaving Brushes T-400 24mm Silvertip
Razor: iKon Shavecraft 102 slant + OSS handle
Blade: Euromax (binned after 3 shaves) // Gillette 7 O'clock Yellow (1)
Pre: Shower
Soap: PAA CaD
Post: AP Reserve Escentials Restoration Serum // TSW After Balm
WTG, XTG, ATG = DFS+

A very lazy shave hence NO PIC but overall very enjoyable once I binned the Euromax after first pass due to it being super rough. The Yellow paired very well and is quickly becoming a go to blade and glad @Gargravarr & @StratMan both convinced me to try it with the Rocca...
Stay Safe & Happy Shaves!

Pre-shave: Warm Water
Brush: Yaqi - Mysterious Space 26mm tuxedo
Soap/Cream: Stirling - Satsuma
Razor: Muhle - Rocca R94
Blade: Bolzano (1)
Post-shave: / Nivea Men - Post Shave Balm

2 pass WTG, XTG = Another Terrible Shave. The Bolzano blade although was cutting, through the hairs without tugging, was just plain rough and uncomfortable. Weepers galore on the XTG. My opinion of these blades based on previous use and today's shave is that they are a SH*THOUSE razor blade. Soligen shave community in Germany should hang their heads in shame for allowing such a rubbish razor blade to tarnish their reputation. Guys avoid using this brand in any razor!

The soap, Stirling - Satsuma. Scent strength medium off the puck. Scent notes, mandarin, and spices. That's what it smells like, citrusy mandarin with a little spice added to tone down the sweetness and round out the scent. Simple and effective, a good all year round scent.(y)

I have been using the worst blades in my dopp kit. Avoided euromax due to your previous shave comments. Can't be that bad ??? Sh*t:mad:

1 blade left, this blade has always given me a great 1st shave In every razor.

Germany is very good at making razors, but not so much at blades. I can't think of any blades from there worth using. Seriously, if you're that far into the barrel scrapings of your blade supply, I'm sure I could send you a few tucks.

I have a tuck of Bolzano sample blades and have yet to try them so thanks for the info. (y)

That's all I had in my dopp kit Gillette platinum, euromax (which @Razor Burn has warned us about) and my very last blade to try an Israeli Viking Sword.
I am compiling a list of blades that do and don't work in the Rocca. While I shed blood for the cause, you guys can stay safe and happy with your Gillette 7oclock yellows.

I have a couple of tucks of Bolzano freebies from Vshod over the years. Now know why they were freebies.

Blades to avoid in the Rocca List so far
Euromax
Bolzano
Gillette Platinum (Arab edition)
