After my disaster shave the other night I made sure to lather up a storm and paint my face like Santa Claus before I put a blade to my face. I started with the Rocca for WTG and XTG, switched to King C for ATG just so it was milder. Using them back to back it hit me that the Rocca is my preferred minimum for aggression/efficiency. I promptly switched back to the Rocca and while my neck got a little irritated it was worth the result. In light of that, I think I will put the King C away.

Same set up for the last 2 shaves and the blade is still going strong. I enjoy the simplicity of MWF but despite regular use the puck is still holding strong so might revert back to testing some samples or using my wintery scents as it is the season... Brrrrrr!!! :wtf:

With the house to myself on a Saturday morning, and five days since my last shave, the stubble feeling gone, it was time for a shave.

Two passes up on the dome, and the cooling sensation on an almost naked head certainly sent shivers down my spine. Absolutely love the cooling sensation from menthol. *shudders*

I’ve heard mixed reviews about the Merkur blades, but they seemed quite reasonable to me. I’ll give them some more consideration but I don’t think I have found a bad blade yet.

After the head shave, time for the face. Two passes led to a reasonable shave, definitely not the greatest though. I got a little reckless and managed to take a chunk out of my nose.
