Good choice of products. I wish I had known about Renaissance Wax when I was shaving with the kamisori I forged all those years ago. I never liked working with stainless, so even the best tool steels need protection. At the time, I just used Vaseline, which was far from ideal on a 243-layer pattern weld.Hi @Rusty Bridges - I’ve had the bowl for approx 2 months, but picked it up second-hand. The clear coat is long gone. I maintain the bowl with a couple of specialist products - Wenol metal polish, and Renaissance Microcrystalline wax.

So yeah. RR Lupo 72 vs the might Rocca. So yeah... Maybe I need to try it again with better blades. Make it a more even playing field.
