Shave of the Day Thread - 2021

How long before we have to explain to youngsters what a 'theatre' or 'play' or 'concert' is?

It's more than a little disheartening when my 3.5 year old daughter asks if we can go on a holiday/see snow and I say "No we can't", to which she replies "Is it because lockdown?". My wife and I have explained the concept of a lockdown to her as simply as we could before and now we can't even go to playgrounds. I am not surprised as when we were last there, there were groups of families who clearly arranged to "bump" into each other while coincidentally carrying a tray of baked goods.

We got out of lockdown this afternoon after only 72 Hrs and back to work tomorrow with restrictions

Sticking with the AS-D2 setup for a while. It's not been used much of late. A bit too much irritation from the Karve D plate and Bic blade setup from last week so I brought the Feather out of hibernation. A great mild shaver, especially with a feather blade (no surprise there!).

Gotta love that Feather AS-D2S I noticed you were clever enough to put the little rubber ring on your stand. I never bothered and now that I can't find it I am very annoyed about it and miss it. LoL
It'll turn up someday.

So many razors to use but somehow I keep reminiscing about the feather as-d2. Wonderful razor.
Great blade btw!

Yeah mate, can't take the credit for that though. I bought it 2nd hand off eBay and it came fitted already. It's a quality piece of kit, it gets forgotten about with all the 'next best thing' razors we all keep buying, myself included!

Am not about to highjack this thread on a should we/shouldn't we lockdown, but completely agree with you here. Our two kids (7 & 5) are completely over the restrictions that have been placed on all of us, and their social and physical development. I really, really hope that this all starts to go away sooner rather than later. #getthembacktoschool
