Pre: Hot Shower, Proraso Green
Brush: Yaqi Rose 28mm synthetic
Soap: Squadron "The Warden"
Razor: Lupo 72
Blade: Nacet (1)
Post: Alum, T.N. Dickinson Witch Hazel Astringent mixed into the 240ml bottle with Invite E High Potency Pure Oil (10 drops), Natural Plant Glycerin (20) & Lime oil (10)

Thanks for the advice @StratMan, I went with the Nacet and was suitably impressed. I did get a bit seduced by the smoothness of the whole exercise and cleaned up my neck area a bit too much and ended up with a little irritation. It cleared up pretty quickly though, so no major issue. Definitely operator error on that one. I had one little patch that was a bit rough after I'd finished shaving, somehow I missed going ATG there. Too focussed on the new razor!

The brush is fairly new and I realised that I'd forgotten to post in the acquisitions thread. I'm one of those blokes who figures "If a 24 mm brush is good, a 28mm one must be much better". In some cases that may be true, but I must say it's a bit large for my face. I'm planning on getting back into shaving my head, so it may work well for the noggin.

Overall it was a really good shave. The 72 is easy to manoeuvre and great for under the nose, the best of the few razors I own.

glad u loved the nacet + 72 combo @Zeke.. I have also done the same as u couple of times.. it’s just such a smooth combo that deceivingly leaves you thinking it’s quite mild when it def isn’t 😁

Eclectic shave today

Brush: DS Cosmetics Bikki 26/60mm badger/boar P&C Charity Auction 2021
Razor: Blackland Vector Ti
Blade: Kai Captain Titan Mild Pink (1) - thanks @Gargravarr
Pre: Shower
Soap: Shaver Heaven Honey Ale
Post: Allum // Milkman HQ Spring Rider A/S Serum // Sukin Hydration Biomarine Facial Serum
Touchups = BBS++

First shave with a Mild Pink and a step up over the Prolines as the blade shaved my cheeks glass like smooth but not as comfortable on the neck as a few weepers and mild redness. By far the closest shave compared to any DE I've used but for Daily Shaves I prefer a Prolines as smoother on the sensitive areas (neck, chin) and still close... I'll grab a few packs as a sharp and close shaving blade!

Stay Safe & Happy Shaves!

Pre-shave: Hot Towel
Brush: YAQI Marpat with Jester synthetic knot
Soap: My wife's own soap recipe scented with Australian Bush scent (My wife is an amateur soap maker, her shaving soap is right up there with some of the best. I love using it).
Razor: 1920's Boker King Cutter
Post-shave: Tassie Huon Pine from Blue Devil (This stuff smells great!)

You Want A Ralf Aust?

Well you can never have mine!

My first shave with my Ralf Aust 6/8, American (square) point full hollow dressed in natural horn scales.

full

All I can say is WOW!

After receiving this razor, I checked it with a marker pen and a tree-topping test. All was good but not quite up to my standard for tree-topping so I put the edge through a full diamond pasted balsa strop progression.

This morning's shave was almost perfect. Just one very small nick from the toe near my ear. I was getting a little overconfident and let my concentration laps. The razor let me know.

This SR was not cheap but is worth every cent that it cost me. I will shave with this SR for the next few days to get to know it more intimately. On Sunday I will shave with my Revisor 6-0035 to compare.

Pre-shave: Hot shower
Brush: BillyGoat Brushworks 26mm two band
Soap/Cream: A&E Kaizen
Razor: Yintal Brass DE
Blade: Minora (5)
Post-shave: Alum block, RR Emperor, Armaf Club de Nuit
Hard to find a razor that doesn't like the Minora; The Yintal provides a pleasant shave with moderate blade feel and at less than $20 is still the best bang for the buck that I have. The slightly bulky head is not really an issue and after I chopped 10mm or so off the handle with a hacksaw it balances well. A superb soap always helps the cause, and the Kaizen I find to be an excellent performer. DFS+.

WR2 1.25
Polsilver
Olympiakos 2-Band badger from TROYCRAFT
Blue Devil LUST
XXX Splash

The blue devil soap was amazing, so glad I finally got onto it.. easily built up a lucious, creamy and slick lather and the scent.. OMG!!! for me to die for, hoping @CraigE bottles this in a splash.. in the meantime the XXX's sweet floral goodness matched the lust perfectly.

The Olympiakos brush from @TroyTools continues to impress me and cant say enough about this awesome brush, just cant stop producing lather while feeling like a soft pillow on face. The shave from the WR2 started a bit iffy, even WTG.. so changed out the wizamet (no idea how many shaves i had on it) with a fresh polsilver and went from zero to hero producing nothing but smoothness, I even questioned if i had a blade in it. Ok its not as sharp as the feather but by the 3rd / 4th pass there's nothing left anyway.

Had some wonderful shaves lately but this one was extra special.. All the moons aligned for a perfect shave, all smooth, no nicks/irritation and BBS.. to all the vector boys out there, i have no doubt its a great shaver but I just cant bring myself to understand how it can get better than this!!

A truly wonderful read and delighted to see this setup deliver you the BBS shave you craved. Plenty to enjoy visually as the WR2 is a worthy substitute for the Vector and that brush is truly impressive with a badger knot that delivers in face feel and lathering abilities. (y)
Its great to see a local artisan produce such a quality soap base and can't wait to try Lust out in the coming days and if its anything like xXx then I too can't wait to grab the matching splash... :nailbiting:

If you have any Creed Aventus clone splashes ( Emperor from Razorock), I would keen to hear your feedback with a pairing to Lust soap, as the scent notes of Lust are both in the above mentioned splash.

Thank you for that great review. The stronger scents seem to be a hit..

hey @Razor Burn .. who knows man, I might just be trying to convince myself I don't need one.......... only to end up with a vector.. wont be the first time that has happened, reverse self-psychology?

@rhodes96 I have Stirling Executive man which is supposed to be a dupe of Creed Adventus, As much as I am hanging to try the Lavender, I will be happy to take one for the team and give your suggestion a crack tonight (y)

@CraigE , never tried the previous versions but I personally cant ever have too much scent in a soap or splash. My daughter (QC) also gave your LUST scent a big thumbs up last night (y)

Pre-shave: Hot shower
Brush: Vintage butterscotch Simpson shaving brush
Soap/Cream: APR Fougere Trois shaving soap
Razor: Charcoal Goods Generation 1 Level 2 P&C head with prototype stinger handle
Blade: Polsilver 'Brown' (4)
Post-shave: APR Fougere Trois splash
Fragrance: B&M Le Grand Chypre EDT

The EDT is interesting. The jury is still out on this one, Mrs Mark1966 is unsure as am I.

Another great shave from the CG razor though - much better than a vector ...
