I have a friend in Victoria, just back in iso with her husband and 5 kids because one tested positive when back at school. She was really traumatised, slipped but in the 'lockdown routine' but she said she could not stop crying. I think the sense of hope snatched away and the pent up emotions from the lockdowns all came to the surface.

So I've no doubt what you are experiencing is pretty common mate, and pretty normal too (my friend is a switched on lady). Just hang in there!

thanks mate appreciate that. Its really hard to explain, i really never thought it would be a big deal but it def feels like it is. I didnt suffer at all with the virus, it was very mild and had commons colds that were much worse, but here is something about being locked up that really sucks.. I can only imagine what people who have gone through extended periods of iso felt like

now I am on day 10 so technically it should be the last day in but I have a 'symptom' of a stuffy nose which i doubt is covid related but cos of that I think i have to isolate a further 4 days.

Today especially sucks cos its my bday :( my daughter who is just 9, blew up balloons and decorated the house a bit and put a lot of effort in but I couldnt even give her a hug which was upsetting.... only a few days left (y)

@Blackie got plenty of whipped cream here so will get stuck into that

@Gargravarr I wish that were the case with the Metaxa, but that lovely bottle is long gone, we'll the liquid in it anyway but I do have quite a bit of ouzou that will happily take its place

@neongas, it was real hard mate.. I am very close with my daughter and she put so much effort in, but i'll more than make up for it in a few days

good news is that I can come back to work tomorrow but have to wear the N95 all day, which bit of a ball breaker as the surgical masks are much easier to wear but small price to pay for freedom.. Never knew I would be so excited to go back to work :)
