I have been training my non-dominant hand to shave these past few weeks. This training has been limited to traditional SR N-S left side of face only. Today I decided to give it a go with my Oxor shavette fitted with a new half Feather DE blade.

Palmolive cream was face lathered with a Mühle Classic medium badger hair brush. I am still not taking to this brush. One more use tomorrow with a DE razor 😮 to see how it goes.

Another beautiful morning here, made even more so by my first shave with this lovely new brush. I can thoroughly recommend all three of the AP G5 knots. Compared to most other synthetics, they're like a Ferrari compared to a Morris. Nice soft tips, but with lots of backbone, the fibres don't clump together, so there is lots of space between them to create and release lots and lots of lather. It doesn't matter whether you like to scrub or paint, it does both with equal facility. They're often mentioned as similar to a 2-band badger, and that's true, but in my opinion they're better. Combine this with the ultimate in shaving soaps and you get utter luxury.

I'm struggling with this razor. It’s beautifully machined but I’m just not getting a good shave from it, and it won’t pick up the extreme flat-lying hairs under my jaw even after 4 passes.

Maybe it’s my angle…I’m used to razors (Lupo, Gamechanger, AS-D2, Karve SB) that need a shallow blade angle, and I suspect I need to use the Outlaw with the handle more parallel to my face. More practice needed!
