Love the handle, the knot, not so muchNice brush too![]()
You could always go for a re-knot, it isn't hardLove the handle, the knot, not so much

Cheers, it's a custom one made by Irish of Forgotten Arts, who isn't turning anymoreI was thinking the very same thing when looking at the pic.
I like them, I had a TF Custom and a Billy Goat Brushworks reknotted with a Lotus Tip fan. I did the BG myself and it has more loft and splay than the TF, but both are excellent knots. Need to load them heavy though as they are lather hogs. Need to break them in too, but doesn't take longWhat do you think of the LotusTip knots?
I've re-knotted a handle with a Gel tip and didn't really like it that much.
I had guessed as much (those characteristic tipped-over ridges of his are a dead giveaway) hence my suggestion of the re-knotCheers, it's a custom one made by Irish of Forgotten Arts, who isn't turning anymore
It's my first custom brush, it won't be going anywhere. Same with the bowl of his. Maybe we should start a Forgotten Art thread, be cool to see some of his brushes and bowls being shown offI had guessed as much (those characteristic tipped-over ridges of his are a dead giveaway) hence my suggestion of the re-knot![]()

Good idea. It's never easy to get good pictures of his brushes, but it's worth a try. It's my first custom brush, it won't be going anywhere. Same with the bowl of his. Maybe we should start a Forgotten Art thread, be cool to see some of his brushes and bowls being shown off
@Mark1966 - had a bit of time up my sleeve (nightlife not exactly lively out here), so went the hot towel prep. Not a bad donga shave!
