I was too lazy to take a photo this morning, so imagine that one of those soaps in the photo is Salt Lake Soaps Persian Lime and Lemongrass...

Pre: Hot shower, Proraso green pre-shave cream
Brush: Maggard 24mm Synthetic
Soap: Salt Lake Soaps Persian Lime and Lemongrass
Razor: Lupo 72
Blade: Asco Super Stainless (6)
After: Alum block, Speedy aftershave
EDT: Blue Stratos

The Asco is holding up beautifully, not showing any signs that it's at the end of its life yet. I generally don't push blades too far, so tomorrow will probably be the last day I use it.

The Persian Lime and Lemongrass soap was excellent. I don't have a great sense of smell, so it was really nice to have the Lemongrass scent making its presence felt throughout the shave. It was an excellent shave to start what I knew would end up being a really crappy day at work - which ended up even worse than I thought as more people were away and we got slammed again... At least it's Friday!

Tried the "Marco Method" in an attempt to avoid the thick stringy load.
It was a much better experience.

Returning to an old favourite for this wet and gloomy weekend. This tub of CF is approaching its last days after about a year. It was the result of a swap with @Castcore while under the constraints of my 2021 sabbatical - two unused tubs of Noble Otter for one tub of CF, when I had so improvidently allowed myself to run out of this. I hope he's still as happy with that deal as I am. Even though I've been stocking up entirely on milled soaps lately, I'll definitely be heading back to VSHOD for some more of this one.

Very happy today because I mastered honing a smiling razor that provided an excellent shave including set of gills cut into right cheek
The long thin coticule and thuringian were bought to tackle difficult razors with a smile or twisted blade, and they are proving successful.
Now have another shave ready birthyear straight in the den 🪒 :)
