Lovely shave this morning. I had been eyeing off a Boker Elite Carbon for some time as I really enjoy my vintage Boker blades and wanted to add a modern Boker to the collection. @bald as told me S.K. Colling & Co use Boker blanks so what a perfect solution, modern Boker steel and an Australian produced razor.
After procrastinating an appropriate amount of time and several conversations with @bald as he ended up selling me his razor. It even came with a fresh ‘bald as’ edge - perfect.
I had been tempted once or twice when other members were talking about Cella to buy the bulk 1kg block of Cella but the thought of Almond scent always put me off. A sample of Cella enclosed with the razor from @bald as confirmed my fears. Cella was very nice to use but why on earth would you want your shave soap to smell like wedding cake icing?
So……shaves with the Proserpine Razor can only get better…….
especially with that provenance from the stonemeister himself. Agreed re the Cella. I like marzipan to eat, but that soap is a bit cloying, though it works well enough.H- SOTD 22.04.23

Slow shave today - nicked myself twice on the first pass. I absolutely love the BB but have almost resigned myself to getting a cut lol ended up doing a second pass with the trusty Leaf. Final result was a trusty BBS finish :0)

It’s small and okay to hold without any issue, the 22mm knot pure and two band finest badger is the same handle size as the Simpsons Berkeley B46.

From recent purchases the Blackbird and M7 Platinum have been standout performers for my mileage (YMMV)
I bought the M7 for the handle with intention to change the knot to a G5C but will be keeping the platinum knot (may even prefer it to G5C)
Having previously owned a Dart I was skeptical if the Blackbird would also be too aggressive for my taste but is is definitely a sweet spot razor at the very maximum of efficiency and aggressiveness for MM producing a long lasting 2 x WTG = DFS++ BBS without irritation
As per @Gargravarr definition the doughnut is growing and a credit to the hardness of this glycerin based LPL it is wearing very uniformly with no high sides.
At least another week of shaving left in it.

Shave Result: Cannot go wrong with Stirling soaps, they are excellent performers and IMO better than some soaps costing a lot more. To my nose this is a wonderful complex cologne scent that is a bit citrus, a bit floral, a bit powdery, a bit woody and a bit green, scent strength is medium 6/10. Awesome shave from the Mamba70, close smooth DFS.
