T.N. Dickinson Witch Hazel is cheaper than Thayer, and is better for your tassie old fart pension pocket money.

Stems from early days when I bought a sampler pack and most of them are at the lower end of @SpeedyPC scale (derby, shark and mostly unknown brands unless in a sampler pack) Astra SP and Lord Platinum were standout from that pack and then of course I joined P&C and heard about all the Gillette, Wizamet and vintage blades esp. Aussie spoilers. Astra SP and Wizamet are my staple with Aussie Spoilers being favourite. I've settled on an efficient razor with a middle of the range blade rather than a mild razor with a Feather

Brush:- Grizzly Bay w/ Fanchurian knot
Soap:- Moon Soaps - Sorrento
Razor: Karve - Overlander
Blade: Feather - Hi Stainless
Tonic: Baxters - California Tonic
Moisturiser: Neutrogenia - Hydroboost

Anzac Day shave enjoyed with a Gunfire Coffee.

First time mixing a Feather with the Overlander. It was a fantastic combo. No nicks (every little victory counts). Also the first shave where I havn’t felt the need to do a second pass with the Leaf.

Had a hard choice choosing between Moon Soaps Union & Sorrento. It’s been a while since I’ve used either and had forgotten how thick and fabulous the lather is!
All in all - great shave :)

Shave Result: For me Squadron is a reliable soap base that produces a creamy, medium density lather with excellent performance, I classify the soap as a strong Tier 2 performer. Scent really is a fresh black liquorice aroma that is not overpowering, scent strength 7/10. Overall an awesome shave, virtually a BBS for me.
