.........Or maybe you prefer the Topaz and 365's?? :D

Never heard of them. I'm assuming they're bad.

Anyhooooo.....BOT

After the outing with a Feather went back to the trusted Featherweight. Bliss.

New stuff New srtuff, well not really but I got tired of saying the same thing.
New blade for the Featherweight
New blade for the Slim (Indian Wilkinson)
Second use of the Speick
New brush, supposedly a boar but I am not sure - I have acquired 5 shaving mugs and 5 brushes from the Bert's Bees range (google and see) both brush handles and mugs are very heavy duty ceramic, but the brush wasn't much chop with the Speick - only gotr one pass with it and had to do the cleanup without extra lather. I will try again with the Tabac and just see id it is the brush/soap combo.
Anyway nice shave and I do like Speick (even if when I use it I keep looking around for the Dentist).

I find a new brush is always a bit useless for the first couple of uses.

That's probably a hangover from your recent root canal.

Totally off topic, but has anyone else noticed the summary of Pjotrs last remark on the front page? The last line is of interest.

Suspect it flagged something like this ;)

Steady as she goes on the shave front for me. Using the 34C most times loaded with PSS. I really should break out my Slim.

Godrej Rich Foam and a little dash of Palmolive SC into my little Vie Long and the lather is consistently top notch. I need to get some more Cella.

Shave of the month?

Been a while since I've posted. Nothing really exciting happening.

Most recently I've been using my Fatboy on 7 with a variety of blades Personna Red, Blue Labs and Voskhod amongst others.

Brush wise I've been rotating between the MC and 'Posh Cousin' from my thread of the brush invasion. The nylon one doesn't get much action - it is like rubbing a toothbrush around your face.

Soap and cream are the usual suspects in my selection with aftershaves the same as well.

So all in all, good shaves pretty consistently. Happy days guys!

Haven't posted in a while. You may have noticed the lack of sledging. I have, however been shaving.

I'll probably get more net time soon, but been dealing with the impending passing of my father-in-law in recent months. He choose my son's birthday last week as the day, and yesterday was the funeral.

I expect to see more proraso sandalwood round here when I'm back, or I won't play anymore.

Sorry to hear about your F-in-L mate....

As am I Drubs. Never a good thing but it gives everyone an opportunity to say their goodbyes. The worst part is having their memory sullied by what the disease does to them. My grandfather who passed away in April just prior to my birthday was literally half the man he was before the cancer diagnosis.

Drubs my sincere condolences for your family's loss.

Condolences Drubbing.

palmy Gut 2,2
smog 830
Gem SE 1st pass 34C with PSS for 2 and 3
L'oreal ASB

Thomas method is pretty dandy...

I too add my condolences. It is one of the least enjoyable aspects of aging - between my wife and I we have 1 parent left - my mother who just turned 86.

To shavingt - Not per day as I don't - Iusually go 3 to 4 days so at least I can challenge the soap/cream and razors.
Returned to Tabac today with a different brush. Surprisingly it made a difference and I got a nice lather with enough left for a second pass.
Featherweight with Gem SE blade and the usual Slim and Indian Wilkinson.
And I do have to agree with the discerning gentleman a few posts back - The TM is a good one.

Slim on 7
GBE, 4th shave
Speick cream
730HD Smoggie
Muhle Bowl

Smooth.... and I smell the lavender in the Speick now.

I'm tempted to buy a straight now.

Who gave Mark the keys to this place!!??!!

Straight is good fun RM. I just find the maintenance too much with young family etc
