Is the site really really slow for others this morning?

I noticed that 'guests' rose to about 11k but are now down to 4.5k, and dropping ...

And performance is stabilised. AI scrapers are making the web unusable at times.

It's been working fine for me. However, over the last few days, I've been taking a different route in. I've been going through a VPN coming out in South Korea. For whatever reason (I haven't looked at the hops in any detail), that often gives me an apparently faster connection than whatever Telstra defaults to.

Sounds like hackers and scammers are looking for a way in to kill us all.
