Just me or were other people getting timeouts and not able to load any pages?

I didn't notice this yesterday, but wasn't looking much as I was busy.

Probably just you, logs suggest a spike but we did not hit any compute or memory limits.

I am considering further limiting the guest user access to try and limit this sort of data scraping from bots. They have been out of control lately. The downside of this is less content in Google, making us less likely to be found.

There are some plugins that can help, you can view like 3 threads before you are block and need to sign up. If I can find one that isn't crazy amounts to purchase (or cost you every year) then I might put that in.

It is at my end. There was a reasonably large infrastructure failure here last Friday. Since then, routing/peering has been broken for me for only this site!

I can see my packets go through half a dozen hops to get to a NSW ISP called Mammoth and then it all just dies. My ISP has logged a ticket with them to try and unravel it, but I'm not holding my breath.

Really, if you spend even a minimal amount of time thinking about how networking should work, you are inevitably amazed that it ever does...
