I just got a Roomba, I named him Gef (after Gef the taking mongoose, who was also a ghost) these things Are freakn cool!

Maybe you have to burp them . Image comes to mind of Roomba puking on your Axminster carpet...

So far I’ve left it to it’s own devices through the living room, kitchen and laundry and that was fine, it packed itself away after an hour and a half and was about half full.
The lounge room, formal dining and master bedroom However it found a lot of lighter fluff (Dust bunnies and cat fluff) and just kinda kept packing it in there, you arnt going to get the whole house done in a single run however for my model (r670 $619 rrp) you can program it via the app to clean 7 times through out the week.

With the added bonus of keeping the cat entertained (for us). I've looked at them and been curious - but never made the jump.

I've heard that they are good to have going automatically and keep a basic clean but if you really want to clean well you need to use an old fashioned vacuum?

I believe that will be the case, but it will push the deep cleans off a bit.
Mopping however will remain a constant battle
