Sputniks.

Blackie

The guy from over the ditch
I have a few Sputniks in my stash.
Gave one a whirl today with the Karve and #E SB plate, and Stirling Bay Rum soap.
I've tried Sputniks before but didn't really like them compared to PPI, Feathers, etc.
Anyway, I managed a nice smooth 2 pass DFS.
Quite an enjoyable shave...not sure why I didn't like the Sputniks before.
Maybe it's a longevity thing. Perhaps they don't last too long.
I will see how the blade holds up over the next few days.
At the moment I'm liking them.

FYI, Sputniks are another branding of razor produced at the PPI factory. They are normally produced for the local domestic market. My experiece with them is they performed similar to the voshkod blade, with the voshkod blade being both cheaper and easier to obtain. Some people these blades work for some people they don't, I fell into the don't work for camp. YMMV and hopefully they work great for you.

Thanks @rhodes96 I didn't bother to read what's on the blade packet!
Thought it was one of the 'other' Russian blades (Mostochlegmash).
Never got on with the Voskhods. Have a few here still, but won't use them 'unless' this Covid thing gets worse and all razor blade manufacturing stops worldwide!
Then, when I finally run out of blades I'll still have some Voskhods to use...or sell for a small fortune!

Thanks @SpeedyPC . I haven't tried the Voskhods with the Karve plates #E and above.
May be time I revisit them?
Didn't like them in the Fatip Piccolo though.
