It's a ploy! PETA claims cruelty and calls for an end to harvesting. Manufacturers holdings sold out to badger hair enthusiasts world-wide; increased demand = increased prices = increased profits. THEN comes the kicker, a shortage of badger hair leads to increased prices!!
