Just finishing my last Blue Devil shave soap.
This soap is equal to the best of the Artisans or mass produced products,best post shave I have ever experienced

I've been putting off mopping up my existing soap stash for too long, so I would rather get on with that for now. I'm looking at an early start for my 2025 sabbatical.

You may scoff all you like, but I have a head start already. I haven't made any purchases since July. That was my WR4, so it was a biggie, and the previous one was my Vestige, another biggie. So I am definitely done for a while.

Yesterday I have officially finished my first soap. Cella Red 150ml
No picture as it was not in original box as I pressed that to my shaving mug.

Unfortunately having 11 soaps in rotation it is not easy to finish one. Probably in some long time I will have a few finished in the same time but not yet

Second fatality in one week.

It'll be the last one for a while though, my other soaps have a long way to go. I have just one more virgin tub of NO2K left, but I think I might leave it till autumn before I broach it.

This tub of MdC was a score from the 2022 charity auction, so it has had a bit over 2 years of frequent use. I have a tub of the Rose waiting in the wings, so that'll come into play very soon.

Incidentally, for the edification of our newer members, the Tim Keech Memorial charity auction is (or was, as it hasn't happened this year) an annual auction in memory of those members who have succumbed to cancer. The proceeds go to Australian Cancer Council.

I am reminded that this Saturday will be the first anniversary of the passing of our friend Stefan Madru, AKA @Mastropiero at the tender age of 42. I still miss our late night musings and meanderings, which I still have in the form of a PM thread here entitled "Violin" spanning dozens of pages. I know there are many whose lives have been touched by this gentle soul.
