What's the deal with UK Wilkinsons?

Must have been a dud blade PJ. This thing would not cut hair. I am not yanking your chain.

How bizarre that you ended up with a dud. Yeah they might not be as close as Spoilers or even Schicksas but after a couple they all sort of seem to merge. They're a lot closer and sharper than the later (I'm assuming they're later but nobody seems to know) Super Sword Edge.
 
Just for the records, the Super Sword Edge come in different packagings that do not specifically indicate 'Super'. Here's an example:

So if you see those, don't bother to think and just snag them :D
 
Thanks for that MD. Yet another vintage Wilkinson packaging conundrum. All I can say for sure is that not all English Wilkinsons are of the same quality and they changed their packaging with a bewildering frequency. Some on a limited run such as the Light Brigade. Although I haven't tried these, I wouldn't be surprised if their supposed quality has more to do with rarity and sexy packaging than anything else.
