Lavender is just part of the mix with this one, I reckon the scent is a fougère. But it is a bright, lavender-forward fougère, strength is about as much as I would want (I don't care for super-strong scents). Mme G hasn't smelt it yet (and I have a feeling she won't like it), but I've been working it hard, and I'm getting through it a bit faster than I would like. That's what happens when I don't keep too many soaps in rotation at any time.
I would say performance is at least equal to the very best I have ever had from any artisan soap, no matter whether tallow-based or not. It's nothing short of superb. If Manuel ever makes a pure-lavender soap on this base, I'll be jumping on to it.
I will let you know if Manuel makes a lavender with a single oi
Mark, very nice, what make is the razor?

Interesting, I had wondered if I might be alone in my particular fondness for lavender. Now the Speedmaster has joined me. (To be fair, he has given me several heads-ups about new products over the last few years.)No worries![]()
That is a really attractive (and elegantly simple) razor design.![]()

Yes, I do love the design. The performance, while a tad more efficient than my Vector, is unfortunately not as smooth. That is a really attractive (and elegantly simple) razor design. What's your opinion on its performance?
Hahaha I honestly didn't expect Speedy to be a fan of lavender.Interesting, I had wondered if I might be alone in my particular fondness for lavender. Now the Speedmaster has joined me. (To be fair, he has given me several heads-ups about new products over the last few years.)

Only 100% pure lavender soaps, otherwise, doesn’t relax me at all during my shaves.Hahaha I honestly didn't expect Speedy to be a fan of lavender.![]()
I make an exception for C&S (Valobra) Oxford and Cambridge. (Fine Lavender Pour Homme is quite a good attempt at a dupe, if you can find it.) Notes of rosemary, mint and oakmoss push it slightly in the direction of a very discreet and well-bred fougère that I can (and mostly do) wear every day.Only 100% pure lavender soaps, otherwise, doesn’t relax me at all during my shaves.
