Hi from Brisbane!!!

Hi everyone, long time shaver first time speaker!
Ive been shaving DE for around 18 months and would never go back. I have sensitive skin on the neck region, which seems common, so with a shave even with good shave cream, the mach 3 just left me razor burnt. Thats what led me to research "old school" way of shaving.

Purchased a few items and have added to my collection as we all do. I run a Merkur 34c razor and alternate between a variety of blades depending on how i think my skin feels (usually Astra), TOBS sandlewood shave cream or Proraso Red and lather up with a Vulfix pure badger brush. Usually finish a shave with Osma alum bar, witch hazel and then either Proraso Green AS or Geo F Trumper coral skin food and then a moisturiser.

Cant wait to search the forums and maybe pickup some tips or even some great items in the for sale section. Can never have too much can we!!!

Welcome Brendan!

Some nice kit and a great attitude!

Beware of some of the enablers here though ;)

Cry HAVOC, and let slip the dogs of war!

Ahh.. I mean welcome :) you certainly won't be enabled to act upon that statement around here bwahahaha

What side of the river do you hail from mate?

Hahaha, i'm sure i'll get myself in trouble from the minister for war and finance in my house when my collection takes up more than hers!

Always been a North-side Brisbane mate, grew up for 30 years in Sandgate, Brighton area. Only just recently went a bit further North over the Pine River to live for the moment.

Welcome @Brendan - you have a great starting line-up (y)

We have some very nice members here who are are definitely more than happy to help you take over more space in the house :D

Welcome. Nice first post and with photo! You'll fit in here well. Saved us all asking "what kit do you have" and "post some photo's"!
I started with a 34c and Proraso (red) too.

Love taking the family around the corner to Sandgate esplanade on the weekends (we're at Taigum).

I'm sure they will point me in the direction of spending money, but if its good gear, its worth it

There's quite a few blokes (myself included) that can support with software samples so you know what you like before committing to a purchase :)

Have fun and enjoy the ride

Welcome Brendan.

You will find that honesty, generosity, humour, and a passion for shaving is not in short supply on this Forum.
