Just got into wet shaving

they take pure boar bristle and do a bad job staining it to look like two band badger. Doesn't affect how the knot behaves, but I've never understood why boar brush manufacturers do that.

I never understood the logic behind this either. If I wanted the badger look I'd get a badger brush. It's a bit of a turn off when shopping for a boar brush.

I think we really need a special forum for #Mark1966 to post a reply to everything in all the other forums that he can twist into a slight but subtle sales pitch :)

Wrong I just got some new multi coloured ones from NZ - good stuff they are too, but I keep on bursting into a haka at random intervals!

I was trying be nice, in reality you remind me of the sorts who yell their deals over the Tv channels - "Not $200.00 not $100.00 not$50.00 but for the next 3.1 seconds absolutely free - just send credit card details so we can charge 197.50 postage".
But thats allright we all think your a wonderful human being anyway (at least for a god bothering bean counter) :)

I don't know Jug, what could be more on topic than discussing Mark in Questions thread - you know sort of a hybrid Question Mark thread - Yay boom Tish :)
Someone has to be the adult around here...looks like it's me.

I want some of those Kiwi special pills you're on.

Okay finally got my tub of cella today.

Tried it out for an evening shave, wet brush, swirl it in the tub, got lather and applied to face.

Lather felt pretty thin though, maybe im doing something wrong? Also is it normal to have to rotate the brush to apply lather to face evenly?

When done with the tub, do i just put the lid back on or do i need to empty out whatever liquid is remaining in it?

Depends. Were you swirling counter clockwise or did you feather it with a touch of spin?

Load up. If it's thin, you haven't got enough in the brush.

There shouldn't be anything runny in the tub, if there is, you used too much water to begin with. That will make thin runny lather

You don't need to shave to practise making good lather. It's worth putting in a few extra practices to get it right. Makes a big difference to getting a close, comfortable shave.

@Question - ignore @eggbert - he is referring obtusely to some maniacs elsewhere who talk about swirling clockwise or counter clockwise as if it makes a difference!

@Drubbing is on the money though - load up more soap it sounds like you have too much water.

Mark - that is just completely and utterly ungentlemanly!

Keep it up.
