Bought a 61 fatboy. Plantings not the best but works ok. You have probably saw it on eBay no body bid on it so I hope it's ok
Anywhere in Australia that you would recommend to replateAs long as it shave, that's all what matters really. You still have the option to have it replated eventually.

ThanksWelcome @markxbeesley - I am sure you will have a great time here!
Please tell us a bit more about the rest of your setup!
As for the FatBoy - I would also highly recommend you talk to our resident specialist @FatBoy58 first - his username says it all.
And another thing to remember: the finish usually does not alter the quality of the shave. While you are undoubtedly excited about your first vintage razor, if it works, I personally would shave with it for some time first and see how you like it, before spending money on replating it...
they look good very reasonable price tooGreat setup there - but if I may suggest: try to get a different brush. Those boars often have clipped hair, which means they will never break in and soften up...most likely it won't come to that anyway, because the knot will probably fall out of the handle
I don't know where you are based, but a decent Omega boar brush can be had locally in many places in Australia and costs less than 20 bucks.
