Shave of the Day 2014

I haven't shaved since Friday. Will be in the morning for work.

Finally have completed the move, my PC is back up and running but the rest are not - No microservers up and running as yet.

Brush: Vintage butterscotch Simpson
Soap/Cream: Mike's Natural Shaving Soap - Hungarian Lavender
Razor: Gillette L1 Slim - set on 6
Blade: Personna Blue Lab - shave 1
After-shave: AoS Sandalwood Gel

I don't know why I keep coming back to the Mike's - I don't like the scent - it must be due to the great performance!

A new modern blade as I expect to be changing mid week and cleaning this razor up to loan to @stillshunter later this week. OK shave with the Lab Blue.

Finished with the AoS gel again - thank you Mrs Mark1966!!!, a good purchase

In other news I timed the shave this morning. Six minutes from go to whoa - not much longer than a cart I'd suspect. Certainly not to long to spend early morning before another flight. Sometimes I think I sleep in CBR but I still live in SYD ...
 
Had a shave, definitely feel better for it. Since I am still unpacking and organising, I used what came to hand first. I have had the first shave at my new digs!

Brush: 'The Great Shedder" Smoggie 730HD. This has got so much hair it could shed for another 2 years and it would still be useful.
Soap/Cream: Jermyn St
Razor: Fatboy on 9
Blade: Aussie Spoiler - new
After-shave: None

I thank a deity for these Aussie Spoilers. Damn good shave, and the Jermyn was particularly creamy this morning. The only thing better would have been if I was handed a large Latte as I walked out the door - alas it was not to be.

Lost all cred now mate, next thing we know you will be using a Lady Gillette and manscaping ....

Walked into the Business Lounge this morning and they got my Doppio before I even asked ...

yeah no change here, I'm boring.

Didn't even shave today.

I bought a stick of La Toja home today to start using. Switching to Polsilver blades for a while too. Picking up my new brush tomorrow.

+1 for latte here too.

Nice shave but I have found with these Gillette blades that I am getting 3-4 shaves then swapping to a new one.

Eton is going strong! Just wont finish, but the shave shop is loaded into my next shave bowl ready to use because the eton just gotta finish soon!
 
Shave of the Week! with a Plumber.

Yep I was half way through a shave and there was a knock.........WTF????

So bare top in tracky dacks with lather residue clinging to my face I answer the door.

The Plumber, 2 days early, I said to him that he should really be 2 days late but not to waste the opportunity I showed him to the bathroom, er I mean den and explained that I couldn't waste the lather and was going to finish my shave.

He got to it and I finished my shave. Very strange but in all modesty I refrained from faceterbating until he was gone.

Changed to a pro blade in my Feather AC and did nick myself. The Futur is doing really well with an old perm sharp. It is set to 1.5 and I see no need to change that.

I still just swap creams, soaps and brushes but am gaining a soft spot for the little butterscotch.

Sorry to break the structure but there was no place to insert a Plumber in the template.

Me too. Espresso first up then doppio ristrettos later in the day

Updated the format for you @Marlow. I was going to put 'Shaving Attire' in there as well but thought it might be TMI.

Still liking the Occams - a great cream. Wanted some lasting smell so put on the Tet-A-Tet - in doing so discovered a nasty cut on my hand that stung like crazy! Gave me comfort that my shave was OK in comparison.

I've added in time for a while just as a check. Six minutes again today. Any often asked question is whether this takes longer and I think I'm saying no.

My Doppio has been consumed in the Lounge - about to board for MEL. I thought about having a latte @Monsta_AU which is a breakfast drink but would have gone for a cappuccino if I wanted milk - I prefer that milk/froth balance. Since you clearly know the appropriate coffee rules all is forgiven :)

Sorry @gthomas04 - no blood sport to watch here ....

Soap/Cream: HTGAM Gondolier
Razor: Standard Razor Black
Blade: Personna Red/IP - shave ???
After-shave: Tea tree & Rosehip balm

Hadn't shaved for a week so that's a lot of hair! A big brush for lots of lather and a little shaving oil to make it slide nice. 3 passes with the Standard chomped through the stubble and feeling smooth. Skin a bit tender after neglect for a week so needed some TT balm.

Made myself a cappuccino at home with my mate's beans and all good to go.

I am imagining.

Running late so whipped up some masses of Macca Root lather with the little cute butterscotch brush.

Touched the Feather Ac to my face and the lather turned pink, whoops to hard!

Luckily.....no witnesses.

Grabbed the Futur and finished the job nicely but needed the styptic.

A nice little scar to charm the girls and a testament to my battle hardiness (or not) with blades.

What is Zen again?
