Really enjoying the GFT creams at the moment, great slickness and cushion and the scents are top notch too. Although I don't think i'll be replacing the Sandalwood once it's finished, too many other great soaps and creams to occupy myself with. The Limes on the other hand will always be on hand.
The Simpsons brush is just perfect for bowl lathering, big thanks to @Mark1966 for selling it.

Brush Frank Shaving Silvertip
Razor Gillette Slim H4
Blade Feather
Pre-Shave Proraso Green
Cream TOBS Mr Taylors
Post Shave Madre Labs Unscented Witch Hazel (alcohol free)

Second day with the feather in the slim and started fine. First pass WTG, second pass XTG both go smoothly.
Doing a little tidying up under the nose and get a little over zealous with the lather and as well as lathering my upper lip I manage to fill my nostril with shaving cream. No big deal as TOBS has a wonderful scent except that just as I finish shaving up under my nose I sneeze and jerk the blade across the meaty part outside the nostril (does that bit have a name?).

Damn those feathers a sharp. Got a slice about 1mm long.

Finished the shave without further bloodshed.

Received the permasharps ( and bonus pack of derby) from @SmallYetDeadly in the mail yesterday so i think I'll switch to them tomorrow rather than press my luck with the feathers - especially now it has tasted blood

Sounds like you just gave yourself the weekend off for recovery, or a single wtg pass under the nose only if you must shave.
Take it easy for a few days mate.

Brush: Omega Boar Brush (didn't have a model number was $10 at markets)
Soap: TOBS Sandlewood Soap (part of a purchase of soaps from MrT)
Razor: Merkur 34
Blade: Personna Blue (1)
Post-shave: Alum and Nivea Sensitive after shave balm

Did a two pass shave today. First shave with both the Personna's and the TOBS Sandlewood. The soap faced lathered relatively easy and has a great scent, I am not the best at describing scents but I know that I like it.

The blades seem to work fine as well.

You know those shaves where all the shaving moons align and everything works together in perfect harmony? This morning was one of those shaves.

Soap Commander Purpose, Omega 10066, Merkur Progress, Personna Lab Blue (2), Soap Commander Integrity Balm

Firstly, although I normally shave every day, I skipped yesterday, and so my face was particularly irritation free to begin with.

Then, the soap. Typical SC lather. Thick. Slick. Effortless. The bay rum is interesting. Not as much lime as other bay rums I've used, but it is well balanced. Reminds me of those fizzy coke bottle lollies.

Then, the Progress. Wow. I'm really clicking with this thing. Pass 1 on 3.5, 2 on 2.5, 3 on 1. It works so well. I feel that this is largely responsible for the amazing shave. Plus, the blade was at second shave, the sweet spot for me. Such a smooth shave with no apparent irritation.

Finally, finished with some alum and then the Integrity balm. I really, really, REALLY liked that balm. Light, moisturizing, but with more of a menthol kick than I was expecting, enough to make your face tingle for a minute or two, but not enough to make your eyes water (so probably not enough for @borked). Such a good way to finish a shave.

This will go down in the annals of shaving history.

Thiers Issard 69, 6/8 Extra Hollow, French Point

A good razor, a fine representative of the interesting French tradition about straight razors. This is not the only Thiers Issard razor in my collection, however I like this one very much, also for its French point, a style I learned to enjoy over time, in my opinion, very effective. The finishing touch has been provided by the excellent Floid Blue, an aftershave said to be discontinued, something I keep on hearing quite a lot lately, and this time it seems to be true. What a pity. I hope Colomer will change its mind about the beloved Floid Blue and resume production.

Sounded an awesome shave. The balm sounds the bomb. Good timing for winter- the menthol will be welcome even then I'm guessing. But it makes it perfect for all year around. [emoji106]

Brush: Erskine butterscotch reknot
Soap: Cella
Razor: Fatboy (7)

Lovely badger brush there mate

Did you SHAKE the OBRS before application? It is a must with these.

I'm sure if you don't like it @borked will not be far away ...
